About Lavender |
 |
More Information about lavender growing
and cultivation in Oregon can be found at the Oregon Lavender
Association website, www.oregonlavender.org,
or by visiting one of the lavender destinations and speaking
to the experts on staff. The growers at most of the
locations have many years of experience with lavender.
They can provide you with information based on their own
trials and errors in growing different types of lavender in their
location.
You will find a multitute of lavender varieties, most are grown
using organic practices. The plants come from strong, healthy stock.
Every effort is made to label the plants correctly. In most cases,
you will find plants that are exceptional in quality that will
survive in most climates around Oregon. Please check the member
listings on
the destinations page for more information
on sources of lavender plants.
Lavender is an incredible plant. There are many uses
for the flowers and the oil. During the Oregon Lavender
Festival, there are lavender craft and oil distillation demonstrations
at many of the locations. Some
of the destinations have Oregon lavender oil for sale and experts
on site to explain some of the beneficial properties and
uses for this versatile essential oil.
The images of lavender
used on this site have been identified whenever possible, as accurately
as possible.
